Lenape Elementary Student Participates in the Future Engineers Program by NASA

A Grade 4 student from Lenape Elementary School recently participated in the Future Engineers program by NASA.

Madeline wrote an essay about the Radioisotope Power System and how it would help her power a space mission to a distant, dark, and dusty part of space. She chose to take her mission to an exoplanet called Kepler 22b, which is believed to have water and a life-sustaining temperature.

Maddy earned a virtual call with NASA experts, including an engineer who specifically works on the Mars Rovers!

Madeline loves science and engineering and would like to be an astrophysicist when she grows up. Way to go, Maddy!
